Unlike other NGOs and charities, the Lorna Young Foundation supports communities that have taken the first steps to self-determination but require help to transition to independent business owners.
The Foundation is totally dependent on donations and support from individuals, organisations and companies who share Lorna’s vision. Anyone wishing to support the Foundation’s work should consider making a one-off donation or think about regular monthly giving.
Taxpayers who make a donation can sign a Gift Aid declaration which will then allow the Foundation to claim an extra for every pound donated.
Anyone willing to make regular donations can do so by setting up a direct debit or standing order.
Another way that individuals who are employed can make regular donations is through Payroll Giving. This is a very tax efficient way of supporting the Foundation (or a participating charity).
Any organisation or individual interested in supporting the Foundation, but unable to make a financial donation, may be able to help through an in-kind contribution, such as helping us with technical support or PR initiatives.
